Girls Soccer

February 28, 2017

Congratulations to Coach Suso and the ACES Eagles Girls Soccer team on their 1-0 semifinal playoff win over Boca Christian. ACES managed to score in extra time and in the most dramatic fashion possible as Jackie L. scored the game winning goal to send the Eagles to the IAL Championship game for the second straight year. The Championship game will be against Renaissance Cooper City and will be played at Parkway Christian Wednesday, March 1st at 4 PM. The address is 1200 S. Flamingo Rd. Davie, FL 33325. Congratulations to Coach Suso and the ACES Eagles Girls Soccer team on their playoff clinching 7-0 victory over Hillel NMB. The win clinches the #2 seed for ACES and gives them a home playoff game next Monday, February 27th at 4 PM. Michelle L. led the way with 3 goals, while Bianca M. added 2 and Angie P. and Taryn S. each added one. It was a total team effort from start to finish and the Lady Eagles are primed to make a run at the IAL Championship trophy! Good luck Ladies!


 

JV Boys Basketball

Congratulations to the ACES JV Boys Basketball team on their 46-38 semifinal playoff win over Donna K.  Lucas K, Jayson J, and Tomas L. all led the way with 12 points each. The victory keeps the Eagles undefeated and moves them into the Championship game against St. Marks which will be played at David Posnack on Wednesday, March 1st at 4 PM. The address to the game is 5810 S. Pine Island Rd. Davie, FL 33328.  Good luck to the Eagles as they look to defend their Championship from a year ago! Go Eagles!

The JV team battled back from an early deficit to get the hard fought 36-30 victory. Tomas L. led the way with 18 points offensively and the entire team played great defense down the stretch to secure the win! With the victory, the ACES JV team clinched the IAL South Division title and will be the number 1 seed in the playoffs. Great job boys!

Continuing a Victorious Season

The ACES JV Boys Basketball team moved to 3-0 on the season with a 26-19 victory over David Posnack on Thursday afternoon at the Rec Center. The Eagles once again played great defense and displayed tremendous ball movement throughout the victory. Leading the way offensively was Lucas K. with 9 points and Jackson G. with 6. Both the JV and Varsity Basketball teams will play next Tuesday, February 7th at home against RASG at 4 and 5 PM. Go Eagles!

Victory Over Weston Christian

The Boys Varsity and JV Basketball teams both came back from Weston Christian with victories on Monday afternoon. The JV squad won 39-24 and the Varsity team won 56-25. Both teams played exceptional team defense from start to finish while jumping out to early leads. Leading the way offensively for the JV team was Lucas K. who poured in a season high 24 points. Chase P, and Jordan B. led the way for the Varsity team with 11 each. JV's next game will be this Thursday at the Rec Center against David Posnack at 4 PM. Next Tuesday, February 7th, both the JV and Varsity teams will play at home at 4 and 5 PM against RASG. Go Eagles!

In a game that featured a playoff spot on the line for both teams, Hillel NMB jumped out to an early 12-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the ACES Eagles Varsity Boys Basketball team 36-15 on Tuesday afternoon. The loss will keep the Eagles out of the playoffs and will allow Hillel to get the three seed. Jordan B. and Oren B. led the way with 4 points each. ACES will play its last game of the season Thursday, February 23 at 5 PM against Boca Christian.

 

February 15, 2017

The ACES Boys Varsity Basketball team moved one step closer to a playoff berth with a 52-14 victory over visiting Parkway Christian on Tuesday afternoon. The host Eagles jumped out to an early 17-5 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to the crucial league victory. Leading the way offensively with 18 points was Jake C. Ethan T. and Reiner P. also chipped in with 7 points each. ACES next game is a big one on Thursday, February 16th at home against BMA at 4.

Traveling all the way to Parkway Christian on Tuesday afternoon, the ACES Eagles made the trip worth the time as they came back with a win to keep themselves in the playoff chase. After a scoreless first half tie, Parkway scored a quick goal and ACES followed it up with their own to tie the game. Not long after that, Taryn S. scored the game winner as ACES won 2-1. With two more road games left in the regular season, ACES will look to clinch the 2 seed if they can win out! Go EAGLES!

The Varsity team dominated from the opening tip to the final horn as they cruised to a 35-9 victory. The win moves the Eagles to 4-0 in the IAL South Division as they prepare for the big showdown with undefeated Renaissance Cooper City on Thursday afternoon at the Rec. The Eagles played tremendous team defense the entire game and Bryan D. led the way offensively with 10 points. Come out on Thursday, February 9, 2017 and show your support in the big game at 4 PM!

First Win of the Season

Congratulations to the ACES Varsity Basketball team on their first win of the season over Hochberg Prep 48-25 on Thursday afternoon at the Rec. It was a total team effort on defense as the Eagles shut down Hochberg en route to the crucial league victory. Leading the way offensively was Reiner P. with 14 points. Jake C. and Oren B. both chipped in 8 to help the Eagles secure the win. ACES next game will be Monday at Weston Christian Academy at 5 PM.

Playing in their first game of the season, the ACES JV Boys Basketball team picked up the 51-37 victory over Sagemont. With many of the boys playing in the first competitive game of their career, they rose to the occasion and jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Lucas K. led the way with 20 points and Tomas L. chipped in with 17. ACES next game will be on Monday at Weston Christian Academy at 4 PM!

Season Opening Victory

Congratulations to Coach Suso and the ACES Lady Eagles Girls Soccer team on their season opening 3-0 victory over Weston Christian Academy. The defense was amazing from start to finish as goalie Mia D. had a a great penalty kick save at the end to preserve the shutout. Offensively, Jackie L. led the way with all three goals with assists by sister Michelle L. and Marley B. ACES next game is February 9th at home against Renaissance Cooper City at 4. Good job Ladies!

In Position to Make the Playoffs

Congratulations to the ACES Lady Eagles Basketball team on winning their final game of the season last night over Weston Christian 32-10. The victory moves the Ladies to 4-3 on the season and keeps them in position to make the playoffs. Angie P. led the way offensively with 26 points and the entire team played tremendous defense in limiting the host team to only 10 points. ACES will await the results of other games to determine their playoff fate. Great job Lady Eagles!

Playoff Hopes Alive

Playing in their final home game of the season, the ACES Eagles Girls Basketball team kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling come from behind 18-14 victory over Renaissance Pembroke Pines. With a packed house and a very raucous home crowd, the Lady Eagles battled back from a 16-8 deficit to get the win. Angie P. led the way with 12 points and Bianca M. added 6 points as the Lady Eagles improved to 3-3 on the season. They will play their last regular season game this Thursday, December 1st at Weston Christian Academy at 4 PM. Go Eagles!

Victory Over Hillel

The ACES Eagles Girls Basketball team moved to 3-1 on the season with a 24-14 victory over Hillel NMB. The Lady Eagles jumped out to an early 6-0 first quarter lead and never looked back as they kept their playoff hopes alive with the win. Bianca M. led the way with 14 points and Angie P. chipped in 8 as all of the Lady Eagles played great defense and shut down the Hillel attack. ACES next game is Tuesday, November 22nd at 4 PM at the Rec Center against Hochberg Prep.

Season Opener Win

Congratulations to the ACES Eagles Girls Basketball team on their first victory of the season. The host Eagles defeated Parkway Christian 16-6 in front of a packed Rec Center crowd! The Lady Eagles played tremendous team basketball en route to the victory! Bianca M. led the way with 10 points and Angie P. chipped in with 4 points. ACES next game will be Thursday, November 10th at 4 PM against BMA!!

Victory Clinches the Team in the IAL Playoffs

Congratulations to the ACES Eagles Boys Soccer team on winning their final regular season game of the year at Weston Christian 4-0. The victory clinches the #2 seed for the boys in the IAL playoffs and assures them of a home playoff game on Monday, December 12th at 4 PM. Scoring goals for ACES was Mateus S. with two and Ivan C. and Mateo S with one each. It was the second straight shutout for the defense as they continue to play great! Come on out on Monday to support the Eagles in their playoff game. Go Eagles! !

Win Over Renaissance Pembroke Pines

Playing in their first game in over a week, the ACES Eagles Boys Soccer team came out strong from the beginning and were able to get the 6-0 victory over Renaissance Pembroke Pines. The win clinches a playoff spot for ACES and with a victory in their last regular season game this Thursday, December 1st at Weston Christian, ACES can secure the #2 seed and a home playoff Quarterfinal game. Scoring goals for the Eagles was Teo C, Mateo F, Russel M, Sam Z, Joaquin Q, and Riley P. It was a total team effort on defense as the Eagles were able to get the shutout! Great work ACES!

Another Win for the Boys

Congratulations to Coach Schulze, Coach Cech, and the ACES Eagles Boys Soccer team on their 5-1 victory over Renaissance Cooper City on Monday afternoon. The host Eagles were able to jump on the Chargers early and take advantage of scoring opportunities en route to the victory! It was a total team effort as all players got in on the action and the win keeps ACES in playoff contention. Ivan C. scored two goals for the Eagles as Reiner P, Teo C, and Santino M. each added one. ACES next game will be at home on Tuesday, November 29th at 4 PM against Renaissance Pembroke Pines.

Looking to Get on the Winning Track

Playing in their first home game of the season, the ACES Eagles Boys Soccer team was unable to defeat undefeated Hillel NMB as they fell 7-1. Scoring the lone goal for ACES was Ivan C. Despite the loss, the Eagles are still in the playoff picture and will look to get back on the winning track next Monday, November 21st at home at 4 PM against Renaissance Cooper City.

Opening Season with a Tie

The ACES Eagles Boys Soccer team began their season on the road with a 3-3 tie at Parkway Christian. Coach Schulze, Coach Cech, and the ACES boys were able to gain that all important point in their march for the playoffs by leaving Parkway with the tie. Reiner P. led the way offensively with two goals and Mathias S. chipped in the third. The defense played great from start to finish and kept ACES in the game. The Eagles next game will be at BMA on Thursday, November 10th at 4:15!

The Season Ends with a Win

Congratulations to Coach Sorscher, Coach Tyrkala, and the ACES Eagles Flag Football team on winning their season finale 14-13 over Renaissance Pembroke Pines. Tommy P. led the way offensively with a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown to Brian D. The Eagles finish the regular season with a 2-6 record. Despite the record, ACES managed to play hard each and every game as each game came down to the very end.  As the flag football season comes to an end, we want to thank the Flag Football team members for all of their hard work and memories made and congratulate them on another great season! GO EAGLES!

Aiming at a Chance to Make the Playoffs

The ACES Eagles Flag Football team suffered their second loss of the season on Monday afternoon at home to Renaissance Cooper City 31-19. Despite the loss, the Eagles still have a chance to make the playoffs and defend their championship from last year. Eric C. got the Eagles on the board early with a interception return for a touchdown to take the lead 7-0. After that play, it was all Cooper City as they took control of the game. ACES next game will be Tuesday, September 27th at 4 PM at home against Hochberg Prep.

It's a Tie Against Parkway Christian

Playing in their first game in over a week due to rain outs, the ACES Eagles Flag Football team traveled to Parkway Christian and came back with an 8-8 tie. Down most of the game, the Eagles were able to drive the length of the field late in the 4th quarter and tie the game on a Tommy P. touchdown and an Isaac S. pass to Mathias S. for the two point conversion. The tie keeps ACES in contention for the division title and makes their next game, which is at home against Renaissance Cooper City on Monday, September 26th at 4 PM, a pivotal game in their season!

First Game of the Season

Playing in their first game of the season, the ACES Eagles Flag Football team lost 13-10 in what was a rematch of last year's Championship game against St. Marks. ACES lone touchdown came on a late pass from QB Isaac S. to Gabriel T. Defensively, the Eagles were led by an Eric C. interception and numerous sacks and a forced safety by Tommy P. ACES next game is Thursday, September 8th at home against Master's Academy at 4 PM. Go Eagles!

First Win

The ACES Eagles Flag Football team picked up their first win of the season with a 41-6 victory over RASG at Founders Park. ACES jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to the crucial division victory. Offensively, Isaac S. passed for 4 touchdowns and ran for another and Eric C, Orel H, Mathias S, and Gabriel T all caught touchdown passes. Daniel T. led the way defensively with an interception returned for a touchdown. ACES next game is at home on Monday, September 19th against Hillel NMB at 4.

Making History at their First IAL Championship Game

Playing in the school's first ever IAL Girls Volleyball Championship game, the ACES Lady Eagles were unable to get revenge on the only team to beat them this season. Weston Christian came out on the winning end 25-21 and 25-18 in what was a match up of two amazingly talented teams. Each set came down to the end and even though they came out on the wrong end on the scoreboard, the Lady Eagles displayed the heart and attitude of a champion and battled until the very end just like they have all season. Despite the loss, the Ladies will bring home the school's first ever Volleyball IAL runner-up trophy and they will take with them some amazing memories in what was the greatest Volleyball season in ACES history! Congrats to Coach Suso, Coach Alfonso, and all of the Lady Eagle Volleyball players on an unforgettable season! We are all so very proud of you! GO EAGLES!

A Battle of Undefeated Teams

Traveling to Weston Christian on Thursday afternoon, the ACES Eagles Volleyball team suffered their first heartbreaking loss of the season in what was a battle of two undefeated teams. WCA managed to get the slim victory in each set 25-22 and 25-23. Despite the loss, the Lady Eagles will move on to the IAL playoffs as the #2 seed in the South Division and will look to bring home the school's first Volleyball title. Come out and support the Eagles in their last home game of the season next Tuesday, October 18th at 4 PM at the Rec.

A Battle from Start to Finish

In what was an epic battle from start to finish when the ACES Lady Eagles Volleyball team remained undefeated with a huge road win over Renaissance Cooper City. The two squads split the first two sets and Cooper City jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the third set before the Lady Eagles took control of the set and eventually held on for the win 16-14. The victory keeps ACES undefeated at 4-0 and atop the south division standings as the Lady Eagles prepare for their next game on Thursday, September 29th at home at 4 PM.!

The ACES Eagles Girls Volleyball team continued their winning ways with a three set victory over Parkway Christian in what was the Lady Eagles first home game of the season. The crucial division victory moves ACES to 3-0 overall in league play. It was a total team effort for the Lady Eagles as everyone got in on the action. Leading the way serving was Michelle L. and Skylar E. with 9 points each and Bianca M. with 7. ACES next game will be at Renaissance Cooper City on Monday, September 26th at 4 PM.!

Another Division Victory

Congratulations to Coach Suso, Coach Alfonso, and the ACES Eagles Girls Volleyball team on another huge division victory as they beat local rival Hillel NMB in 3 sets Monday afternoon. Tamy G. had 11 kills and Angie P. added 7 more as the Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season. ACES next game will be their first home game of the season on Thursday, September 22nd at 4 PM against Parkway Christian!

It's a Win for the Season Opener

Playing in their first game of the season,  the ACES Eagles Girls Volleyball team defeated RASG in two sets! The Lady Eagles came out on fire as they won the first set 25-7 and then hung on to win the second set 25-22. Tamy G. led the way with 4 kills and Bianca M. added two more. It was a total team effort for ACES as the entire team played and played very well! The Eagles next game is on Monday, September 19th at Hillel NMB at 4 PM.
