Summer Reading Lists

May 22, 2017

Congratulations on successfully completing another year!  As students enjoy their summer, it is important that they keep their brain active.  In fact, studies have shown that students can lose up to three months of reading progress during the summer if they don’t read.  In addition to preventing summer reading loss, reading for pleasure has been associated with creativity and improved academic achievement.

Review the attached book list for your child’s grade level for 2017-2018.  Select one book for your child to read.  After reading the book, your child can select one of the following optional projects.

Happy reading and see you in August!
